From the artist:
"This was a bitter/sweet painting; because I started painting this around the time that Rob Zombie's latest movie came out followed by the actor's Sid Haigs' death. Had the idea of taking it back to the original time we saw Captain Spaulding, with his museum and monsters and oddities, from Rob zombie's House of a thousand corpses where he ran Captain spaulding's world famous Chicken and gasoline store. I also put in my own original take on the Captain Spaulding's world famous fried chicken bucket." - Eli Velez
