Tyria Moore

Aileen Wuornos Tyria Moore

Aileen Wuornos is one of the most famous female serial killers in history. She killed seven men while working as a prostitute, claiming that they tried to sexually assault her. Her girlfriend, Tyria Moore, convinced her to confess her crimes to the police. Here are ten facts about Tyria:

1. Tyria and Aileen met in a biker bar.

Tyria, or “Ty”, met Aileen Wuornos in a Florida biker bar in June 1986. At the time, Ty was 24 years old and worked as a hotel maid. She recalled the evening: “She was in there alone, I was in there alone…we started a conversation and she went home with me that night.” They spent the weekend together and became a couple.

2. Tyria was Aileen Wuornos’s longest relationship.

Aileen was 30 years old and working as a highway prostitute when she met Ty. She'd been through a serious of short relationships with men and had even been married for nine weeks to Lewis Gratz Fell. But in Ty, Aileen found someone special. She was in love. Ty became the center of her universe and their relationship lasted for four years.

3. Tyria disapproved of Aileen’s prostitution.

tyria moore where is she now

Ty and Aileen lived in cheap motels and trailers, and even in the woods a couple of times. Aileen supported them through her prostitution on the Florida highways. However, Ty didn’t approve of her work. “Once I found out she was prostituting, I tried everything I could to have her stop doing that…for one, it’s not safe, and then I did care about her. But she…she never gave it up.”

Despite their disagreement, the two remained close. Aileen considered Ty to be her wife and enjoyed providing for her. When Aileen was home, they spent time together watching television or drinking in bars. Aileen, the more dominant one, frequently got into altercations. Between 1987–1988, she was questioned by police at least three times for hitting a man with a beer bottle, vandalizing her apartment (along with Ty), and making threatening phone calls to a supermarket.

4. Tyria knew about at least one of the murders.

On November 30, 1989, Aileen shot and killed Richard Mallory, a man who she said tried to rape her. She drove home in Mallory’s Cadillac and confessed the murder to Tyria. “We were sitting on the floor watching TV. She just come out and said, ‘I have something to tell you.’ And I asked her what. And she said she had shot and killed a man that day.”

Tyria later told police that she'd told Aileen that she didn’t want to know any more. The following year, Aileen Wuornos killed more men, shooting them and stealing their belongings. Ty’s suspicions grew as Aileen brought home more stolen items. She refused to listen when Aileen tried to tell her where she got them, fearing that she might be forced to call the police if she heard the truth.

To complicate matters, Aileen had grown increasingly angry and unstable. Although she’d promised Ty that she would never hurt her, Ty was afraid of what Aileen might do if she felt betrayed.

They fell into a lifestyle of pawning the stolen belongings of murdered men for cash and driving their cars. It was through these practices that the two were eventually caught.

5. Tyria’s involvement was discovered through a car accident.

On July 4th, 1990, Aileen and Ty ran off the road in a 1988 Pontiac Sunbird near Orange Springs, Florida. The car belonged to Peter Siems, a 65-year-old man who had disappeared the month before.

A witness said that she saw two women climb out of the car, cursing and throwing beer cans into the forest. The blonde one was bleeding. She provided the police with descriptions, and they sent out a nationwide bulletin.

Calls came in identifying the two women. Aileen’s bloody handprint on the car was matched to a thumbprint on a Daytona pawn shop card used for items belonging to Richard Mallory. As the police closed in, Aileen killed three more men. When Ty heard that she and Aileen were wanted, she moved to Pittston, Pennsylvania to live with her sister.

On January 9, 1991, police arrested Aileen at the Last Resort, a biker bar in Port Orange, Florida. The next day, Ty was located in Pittston. Two officers took her statement, but didn't charge her with anything.

6. Tyria agreed to help the police.

The police approached Ty with an offer she couldn’t refuse: get Aileen Wuornos to confess in exchange for immunity. Ty agreed, and returned to Florida where the police set her up in a motel room in Daytona.

7. Tyria convinced Aileen to confess.

The police provided Ty with a cover story: her mother had given her money to return to Florida and collect her things. They instructed Ty to tell Aileen that the police were questioning her family and that she believed she would be blamed for the murders.

Quick note: Aileen wrote an autobiography which I highly recommend to anyone interested in a more intimate window into her life. It's called Monster: My True Story and you can check it out here. Its a great read.

The first phone call took place on January 14, 1991. Aileen was cagey about giving any details and seemed to refer to events in code. Ty persisted with further phone calls, each growing more frantic. By the sixth call, Aileen assured Ty that she would not let her go to jail. On January 16, Aileen confessed to the murders of seven men and expressly stated that Ty was innocent.

8. Tyria testified against Aileen, who was found guilty of murder and sentenced to death.

Tyria described to the jury about how Aileen told her that she killed Richard Mallory, and that she did not seem upset or drunk at the time. Aileen cried as the telephone confession tapes were played. Afterwards, she was convicted of murder.

9. Tyria Was Not Depicted As Selby Wall in Monster

Aileen Wuornos Girlfriend

In the 2003 movie about Aileen Wuornos, Tyria moore was replaced by a fictitious character named Selby Wall, played by Christina Ricci. Tyria is reputed to be litigious and protective of her reputation, so the director created a new character in order to avoid any potential issues.

10. Tyria Moore: Where is she now?

According to recent public records, Ty lives in Pennsylvania with her wife and family. Serial killer Aileen Wuornos' girlfriend Tyria Moore has been the subject of much speculation. Tyria was said to be the love of Aileen’s tragic life; Aileen would do anything for her. But during the four-year relationship, Aileen killed seven men while working as a highway prostitute.

Tyria claimed to be unaware of the murders, yet her suspicions grew when Aileen brought home stolen cars and goods that they later sold at pawn shops. When the police finally caught up with them, Tyria worked with them to draw a confession from Aileen, which ultimately resulted in a murder conviction and the death penalty. What kind of life did Aileen Wuornos and Tyria Moore share and why did Tyria help the police? Did she have a role in Aileen’s crimes or was she innocent?

I feel compassion for Aileen and no sympathy for the men who were using her, prostitution is paid rape. I guess I’m a “monster” too.

Kristina S.

I totally feel Ty knew EVERYTHING and it’s why Aileen felt do betrayed. She was fat and lazy and enjoyed the spoils of every murder and should be serving a life sentence herself. I just watched the special on ID and still confused on the murder of Pete ?. The gentleman that simply offered Aileen a ride after seeing her walking in the rain. She admitted this man did nothing at all to her and wanted that known. Then why not tell where his body was?? Unless I missed something.. it left me puzzled but happy this man wasn’t demonized since he was only being the kind spirit his family knew him to be to those less fortunate or he felt had lost their way.

Hannah

I think Aileen Wuarnos’ actions were justifiable. Self defense. Men are disgusting entitled things who will rape and kill if they really want to. I think she’s a product of damage and abuse and I think it’s fucked up how society is built because it allows men to treat women that way and get away with it. It’s awful.

Monster Hunter

I believe Aileen was raped while doing a trick and did defend herself. It took a lot out of her and really messed her up. After that things just steamed rolled out of control for her. She viewed all men now as a threat. Things in her life finally accumulated and exploded with disastrous results. She was a victim and wanted all men to feel the same way.

Celeste

I dont understand why she went completely free. I guess as long as she got Aileen’s confession a deal was made. She knew damn well what she was doing and how those items were obtained. Dont like the fact your girlfriends hooking? Then get a damn job and help out. Sounds like a total pos. Unfortunately, that’s all Alieen dealt with her entire life.

Vince

Peter you say these guys that were killed by Alieen were doing the wrong thing! Why were they doing the wrong thing? Offering somebody a ride. Or paying for a little slap and tickle. That’s consider wrong? No they were doing nothing wrong. They just met up with the wrong person.

What’s most sad about Alieen Wurnos. I really believe if she had some good friends and I mean good friends that genuinely cared for her……actively in her life down in Florida I sincerely believe she would not have killed anyone. I do believe she may have still had aggression issues and bar room brawls or spoucial fights….but not murder.

Jaymac83

In my eyes she is a product of society…
Yes the things she did were very wrong but also how much chance do u have at a normal life if all you have known is physical, sexual and mental abuse from a very young child right through to adulthood, with no home to go to and nobody to teach you what love is…..you would be terrifindividually of the world and when you are scared your judgements and reasoning don’t come into it….

Tanya

Ty should have gotten a prison sentence just the same as Aileen. She knew what she was doing with that stuff and where it was coming from….

Cathy

This is a tragic story all around. Should have gotten life. Really she never had a chance at life. Let us remember we are the adults and need to nurture & care for our children. She was brought into this world a mess and she went out the same. It really makes me question the death penalty. SAD

Lady Pris

Ty was a lazy good for nothing who took Aileen for everything she could until the heat came down, then trucked her ugly fat ass as far away as she could and sold Aileen out to save herself.

But. That doesn’t excuse what Aileen did. There are people who had horrific childhoods who don’t end up on death row. She shouldn’t have gotten a death sentence, but it’s not hard to see why she did. Watch film footage of her. She was a volcano.

Ty is on FB these days, apparently got married to a woman named Joyce K in 2016, and I hope she has trouble sleeping at night.

Vet

Ty is a bitch ,she knew what was going on

How sad life is in many ways why does a society kill people in order to protect us? Isn’t that just as bad? We are all victims of circumstances and products of society, was it her fault that she didn’t receive any help? Was it her fault that she had a shocking upbringing? Or is it society’s fault that we didn’t help her? And the only help we offered her was to kill her? How sad is it, when we don’t help people in need, we just kill them instead. Yes I agree that those men shouldn’t of died but they we’re doing the wrong thing as well like so many men are, so why don’t we kill them as well? What do we learn about these poor people? Instead we just kill them? Because killing seems to be the answer in a country of gun carrying citizens, pffft go figure it really makes me wonder what the whole world is about. I feel so sorry for many of the true serial killers, did they get help? Did anyone care? How sad but instead we just kill them cause that teachers us what exactly that we can take someone’s life but not have the time to help them… such a sad predicament

DiD

Sorry I believe ty knew much more then she’s ever admitted to and if what I have read is true she didn’t even start killing till she met her. She defiantly got away with too much. And death penalty come on those guys should of been home taking care of there wife and kids. Spending that money on them. It only came too that because she was a prostitute and killed man period

Lj

Aileen never had a chance in life. She didn’t “choose” her reactions. It was survival to her. Society let her down. It’s sad.

Interesting article and alot of good comments. I agree with alot of people on here that Lee should’ve gotten life in prison and the help she needed. There’s no excuse for what she did as she deserves to be punished regardless but the death penalty on a inmate that’s known to have an illness is odd to me. As for Ty,that POS deserves prison time instead of walking the streets knowing about murders that occurred. For all we know, she just might’ve participated in 1 of the murders and just no one knows about it and conned Lee into taking the full blame to save herself. I hope she gets what she deserves 1 day, hopefully by 1 of Lee’s victims family members and they walk scott free.

Ray Bowers

She was on the streets many yrs there could be others out there that have died as well all over the usa.they could have stoped her along time ago and the courts let here go. They knew her mental .anger.violence.but they should not have killed her.

Arashi

She didn’t stand a chance with her horrendous upbringing. Glad Ty didn’t do time, poverty, mental illness, and abandonment really eliminate your ability to make good choices. Society is as guilty as AW. The world is every bit as cruel and difficult as she suggests.

Ruby

Ty could have gotten time in prison for what she knew! Aileen had a hard life and I do not believe giving her the death penalty was wise to give her. I have mixed feelings about this. She had no excuse to kill those men. Rehab or therapy could have been suggested to Aileen. The system can be cruel. Glad I wasn’t in her shoes!

Steel

Look how sick some of you are. You actually feel sorry for a Godless, murdering, lesbian. Why? Because you watched a movie!

Lisa

She killed 7 men… not becsuse she was a woman… because she could. Dhe was arrested to stop her from kidding more men because she would still be killing men if they didnt.
Dhe got the desth penalty because she killed 7 men in cold blood..in florida where they have the death penalty.. as if she did not know that.

Stop painting her as a victim…

Samuel Hay

I surely am not an expert here. I would have to throw in one thing that is not brought up per se. Genetics. I have a friend who is not only a constant foster mother but an instructor to others working in the field of child behavioral problems. We have had numerous discussions over the years as to whether environment or genetics play a major role. She has always felt the environment was a greater influence. I have leaned more towards genetics. She was asked to take on raising two children, both were probably 6-8 years old at the time. This occurred in another country, not the US. The children’s parents had killed about 15 people in the basement of their home without their children’s knowledge. I dont know what happened to the girl but I can say with absolute certainty the young man got the best care and upbringing available by this professional. He was in prison by the time he was 16 years old.

Opinions

“the truth” that should not be your name! What you stated is just your opinion not the truth

Bvbh

@Izzykatt and city girl: Charles Manson did get the death penalty. His sentence was commuted to life when the death penalty was ruled unconstitutional.

Jas

The only reason I feel that she got the death penalty was because she killed a cop. The men were mostly old as well. In my opinion, I don’t think that death was the best solution for her. Life in prison maybe, but not death. Ty should’ve gotten some form of punishment as well too, because she knew. We know she knew and so does the police. They just needed a solidified witness to go against Lee and Ty was their pawn. I feel so sorry for Lee. She died never knowing what it truly feels like to have someone love you. Hopefully someone introduced her to Jesus before her execution because that’s all the love that you’ll ever need. Too bad she didn’t realize that sooner in life. Rip

Dena

To Izzycat .. Charles Manson got life because California d’s away with the death penalty

MSG

Sad how it all ended. AW did get treated like a dog because a dog bites and bites it gets laid to rest. She was unstable since she came into the world. As much as she wanted to adapt and try to be a citizen she was always let down by the blood line who was meant to protect her and society. Yes some did some god awful things which is vets call PTSD. Us military are given help for. I’ve been serving my country for 18yrs and have hidden myself. Being a Lesbian in and out the Military. She isn’t perfect, she had it fucked up since day 1. Yet their are way more evil in the world that don’t get out on death row. Ppl blame her for saling her body…how bout the ppl who paid for it and they had a wife and family. More so how about her only love Th…that bitch knew and lavished in it all and sold her out. Mind you Ty played the Man role in their relationship and no one will say it but I will she pimped her out. Funny how Ty now has Facebook, left a home she ran from to sell out Lee am force Lee to take the whole wrap. LW was not perfect, sold herself thinking that was all she was worth because that was love being taught at an innocent age. Ty claims to be mentally stable so she needs to be held as according. Ty lives her life, with incomes from Lee still to this day and openly gay an married when she back then claiming her an LW were friends! Fuck you Ty an I wish I could say it to your face! I have been to real hardship, a story, an again 18 years in the military. I’ve been in combat, lost friends in freedom. You just coward and you should have died too!

KB

Aileen never had a chance. The judge, jury and her girlfriend all set her up for failure. Her life was a disaster and she had no help or support. Let’s face it, if she was prettier she would not have gotten the death penalty. Ty should be in prison as she knew what was going on. Prisons are full of men who have done worse. But let a woman commit crimes and she is given the death penalty. That is fact throughout history to all those who would say otherwise. And for those who call her a whore well there’s a reason it’s the oldest profession in the world. I certainly don’t condone her crimes but the death penalty in this case is shameful.

betty martinez

Tyria Moore should of been tried and put in jail as well. I did watch the movie monster a few times. Ty knew. She even complained about Lee not keeping her promise. Lee wanted to quit. Ty put her on a guilt trip. Ty is just as guilty. And know she’s married to a woman with a family. Shame on you Ty. You are guilty.

danyale gutierrez

What I feel is so disturbing is the girlfriend with held information about the first murder. She new she had committed the crime . A year passed and she never attempted to contact the police. I feel tyria Moore should of paid for not reporting her to the police. Look at how many male serial killers there are in prison for life. I feel lee was not in her right mind and because she is a woman . Woman are and always will never be taken serious. Look at how many rapists get off or serve 18 months in jail for raps of children and woman. Society believes that woman are unworthy and that will never change. I do believe lee was molested , rapped, and abandoned by her family . Who was ever there for her. Not tyria who only used her for a free ride. Not the judicial system that allowed her to be rapped and thrown out on the street by the time she was 15. No one and I hope the world pays attention because this is what you get a very damaged person and damage caused more damage.

Jennifer

I honestly don’t believe she should have got the death penalty life in jail yes but not death penalty and I agree with the person who was talking about Casey Anthony case that’s just sad Aileen had a hard life growing up she was Molested as a child and her own family kicks her out in the snow at 13 years old she has no friends no family that gave a damn about her to help her out so what did everybody expect her to do for money it’s either prostitution or drug dealer she has to do what she had to do to survive at them ages I am not saying what she did was right but the life she lived she just hated people all people and that girl of hers just threw her under the bus she should have gotten time as well she knew more than once she just didn’t want to admit it to herself she knew about more than just the one guy that Aileen killed she was in denial I just can’t believe she got no jail time what so ever I think Aileen should have been placed in a mental hospital because she wasn’t stable you could tell that she should have been placed where she could have gotten help and just because she was a prostitute they gave her the death penalty they just treated her like trash she was a woman a human being there are Murderers rapist child Molesters out here that have been set free and don’t get as much time as they should have I just don’t understand the system anymore it’s just bull shit

Hannibal

Sad story ! I wouldn’t want to live in prison as Aileen probably didn’t either! Her girlfriend knew what was going on! Ty was a manipulative woman who deserved prison time as well! Aileen loves her and took all the blame!

Faniel

Well this is tuff…how have many survived on death row for soooo much longer than this woman with worse killings? And she was CLEARLY NOT RIGHT IN THE HEAD… life with no parole and ALOT OF HELP…as for her lady friend…she knew..she betrayed her friend and not only left her to die she gave up whatever the cops asked…so you ask..what are the police, judicial system willing to give up to bring someone down and put in my opinion a monster in the streets to take down another…boy we sure li e in a strange world…ty should be behind bars for quite some time, but the trader walked..WOW!!

Joe

Interesting article and comments. I do not believe in the death penalty, it is not a deterrent to crime and is costly. That said, I do not believe that AW deserved the death penalty. I also do not believe that these men deserved to be killed. True; all prostitutes are not bad people. Also true; not all Johns are bad people. I find it to be incredibly implausible that every one of the men that she killed wanted to harm her. I do think that she wanted more from these men then the agreed upon price for sexual acts. She wanted their cars, money and possessions. The easiest way for her to obtains these items was to kill these men. Yes, she had a difficult and traumatic life, but that does not make her actions acceptable. Yes, I have sympathy for her, but I also have sympathy for her victims. Lets not forget that we know her background, but we do not know the background of her victims. It is easy to sympathize with someone who you know was traumatized. These men were victims. Also, Ty deserved an accessory charge.

Izzykatt

CityGirl: I agree with you except, Charles Manson didn’t do the killing. He seduced young men and women into doing his dirty work. Thereby getting life.

Thetruth

I have never seen a reason to justify the evil people do and still the same way. Bad things happen that doesn’t mean you have to be bad. She made a choice to be a whore she made a choice to kill and she made the choice to be executed.

Crystal

I read a lot about Aileen and i felt bad about how she was treated as a child. When i watched the movie “Monster” i cried at the part where they are at fun world and its Aileen talking about how hard it is living in the streets. R.I.P. Aileen

Chrissy Brown

Tyria Moore makes me sick! I can’t believe she did that to poor Lee. And she got off scot-free too.

Unknown survivor still struggling with todays society !!

First of all would like to say this. Aileen, i am so very very sorry for what you have gone through. I know first hand experience what that feeling is like. Being betrayed right from the start and all the abuse. As i watched you in the courtroom i felt your pain and understood why you done what you did but also knowing that it was wrong. She did not deserve to be put to death. SHAME ON GOVERNMENT<SOCIETY<And JEB BUSH!! You all are cowards as you have no idea what it is like to be a victim obviously and to have lees lover TY pretty muchly protected to get a confession is sickening!!!! NO ONE AND NO ONE will understand the mind of ones actions unless they know whats the hell is like that they have endured. You have no controll of how you feel and what may happen but try and keep yourself as far away from any kind of mental relapses as possible. When a person of this sort is faced in a situation where they may fear people or dont want to be around many because of the aweful experiences in life give them the help they so deserve so this kinda stuff doesnt happen. I believe Aileen had problems and chose the prostitution because of society. She wasnt given help and was pushed away. Forced to do some kind of work.. She would be able to do it when she could how often.. She wouldnt have to be there for long till it was done. Do i think she enjoyed this life NOT AT ALL.. But when the governemnt tends not to understand people like this and says they can work or do other things then the law(governemnt puts other people at risk. ) She had cried out many times. Not in the exact words that she needed help but in her actions. She def should not have been given the death penalty and it makes me very angry this happened. Yes, some kind of punishment as she already knew what she did was wrong but feared for her life and was reliving the abuse all over. Someone should have offered her counseling to try and ease some of the pain she had as she would never ever of been pain free. The government should have stepped in and given disability to help her live so she wouldnt have felt forced to do what she decided to do. TY you so disgust me. Your a lazy piece of shit that took advantage of someone who was dealt and was facing a lot of problems and im sure was aware of Aileens mental state of mind when around such abuse.. Why did you not work???? WHY bETRAY the one you so called love. COWARD!! Thats what you are!!! I hope that someday the laws change to help those victims that have a hard time dealing with society that have been victim for many years of their life especially since childhood.

Marty McCormick

Aileens life was hell. Not excusing her, but please. She was living in the woods in MN. Her so called best friend tells this story. Being a parent I can’t grasp the thought that other parents knew her circumstances and did NOTHING. Unbelievable to me. You know those kids let their parents know in conversation where she was and what the circumstances were. Where were they? I’m a single mom and took in more than one homeless kid and adult. It’s ridiculous. She had no one. I have nothing but loathing for aware adults and Ty. She damn well knew. She enjoyed the money from this. Heartbreaking all around. :-(

Lagertha

Not having read any of the previous comments I have to say, it’s difficult to judge Aileen Wuornos for killing any of those men. She was a hooker, we have no idea how she was treated by any of her john’s. I can only imagine how much she came to truly hating men having been raped as young girl to being kinda forced into prostitution at a young age in order to survive. I think that John’s feel free to say any nasty thing that they want to a hooker because they think that these women like being talked to like that. The thing that John’s forget is that a hooker is a woman. Every woman wants to be treated like a lady. Aileen Wuornos hated men. So she started killing them. She was probably never treated well by any man who didn’t want something from her. Try to look at her with compassionate eyes. Her tortured life doesn’t justify murder but it sure gives us pause to understand why she could hate that much.

Zeke Ledwell

I agree with Sandra for the mostpart! A.W. was damaged goods! She needed to be behind bars for life with heavy psychiatric treatment! It was horrible what she did to those men and she deserved heavy punishment…but I don’t think the death penalty was the best choice for her. As for her lover, Tyria Moore…Sandra is 100% right! She had an idea where the money was coming from. She knew what “Lee” was going and how she was going about obtaining their newfound wealth! She had no trouble enjoying the “fruits” of “Lee’s” crimes! When the situation got HOT and the police were near…Tyria split. She was on the path to save her own life! She didn’t offer any info until the police came for her. She knew “Lee” would do and say anything to protect her. The police did too! So she happily signed on as the “innocent” to save her own life! I am not saying she was the “trigger” gal but she deserved a bit of punishment herself. For the amount of life involved and the info she held within…I could easily see 10 years or so in jail! Not a “slap on the wrist” or a “get out of jail free” card! Although I am not saying “Lee” deserved a bunch of pity…my empathy for her cannot be helped! Imagine, after a life of unheard of hardship, abuse, and betrayal from everyone “Lee” knew and loved…she got the final BLOW by the person she felt loved her ABOVE ALL and SHARED THE SAME CONCERN for HER as she did Tyria! Sad! Real sad! Even though “Lee” was a horrible killer…I don’t see how Tyria Moore can live with herself or her actions either! Two sad lives with horrible outcomes for many! In closing, thanks again Sandra, for showing us a different way of looking at this horrible situation!

CityGirl

I agree with the person who posted that Aileen should have never received a death sentence. Life in prison yes…but not death. The judicial system looked at Aileen as poor white trash and treated her like trash. Why? Because she was thought of as a whore due to her lifestyle as a prostitute. We know how society feels about women in that line of business. You can do whatever you want to them and it won’t matter because that’s what whores deserve. Meanwhile, the men known as their John’s get a slap on the wrist…even though they are essentially participating in the same crime. Secondly, Tyria Moore should have been charged with murder because she was complacent and knew about all of it. She benefited quite handsomely and enjoyed the cars and the money and all the things Aileen bought for her. She essentially never had to lift a finger to do anything. What happened to guilt by association…especially in a murder case?
Charles Manson was given life in prison and died peacefully at 83yrs old. Look at all the people he brutally killed…including a pregnant woman. Jeffrey Dahmer killed and consumed (ate) 16 people and was given 15 terms of life. That’s sick! He would be alive today had he not been killed by another inmate. But prostitutes get death! Aileen had been a victim since the day she was born. Society failed her miserably. She decided to pay society back.

Stacy

Aileen’s case is such a sad sad one. A true picture of how much everything and everyone failed her. Yes she did commit murder and I don’t justify that by no means… with that being said… the “justice system” failed miserably with this case. This woman should have never been put to death. How is it that Casey Anthony can walk free for killing her child but a woman who had a seriously awful all around awful life delt is put to death? I do believe in the death penalty but not fot the mentally damaged individuals. And as far as that sorry POS “TY” God will punish you for eternity. You were the true evil in this story. I wouldn’t be able to live with my self if I was you. You disgust me. Aileen was a victim just as much as her victims were. Your nasty trash Tyria. You used her just the same if not worse than everyone else in her life. Who’s to say how anyone would react to the awful life Aileen experienced. I do hope the families of her victims can find a way to forgive what this mentally ill woman did. She was a serial Killer and deserved punishment for that. But at the same time she deserved to die no more than her victims did. It was a sad case of many victims but that awful Tyria… the world can only hope you are never part of more problems…. you did enough damage…. your parents must be so proud.

Sandra

She should never have got the death penalty…her childhood and her mental health should have been taken into account….her actions in the court room spoke volumes ..she needed help…you could see that…you could hear that…has for her so called girlfriend.. backstabber…she got off…she should have been jailed.. she knew what was going on….she enjoyed the money….she didnt give a shit about Aileen she betrayed Aileen to get out of jail…All Aileen wanted was a normal life and to be loved…r.i.p Aileen…you have your angel wings..no more pain

I enjoyed your article. Respectfully, I wanted to point out a grammatical error that would be a quick fix. In your #2 fact, you said, “She’d been through a serious of short relationships ….” I think you meant SERIES, rather than SERIOUS. No biggie. Just thought I’d let you know. Well done otherwise!
